Chastity Cage Size Guide
Quick answer: measure around the base of your penis and testicles while soft and relaxed, then use the table below to pick your ring. Every Bad Pup cage comes with four rings (42mm, 45mm, 48mm and 52mm), so you can swap if your first choice isn't right. Then choose Micro, Nub or Nano to match your soft length. If you're between sizes, go one size up.
A cage is one of the most personal bits of pup kit you'll ever own, and it only works if it fits. Too tight and it'll pinch within the hour. Too loose and it'll slide straight off mid-zoomies. All you need is a piece of string, a ruler and five minutes.
What you're measuring
- The base ring sits behind your testicles, around the base of your penis. Its size is the inside diameter in millimetres.
- The cage sits over your shaft. Bad Pup cages come in three lengths: Micro, Nub and Nano.
Step 1: Get relaxed
Measure when you're fully soft, warm and relaxed. A warm shower first helps. Measuring when cold gives a reading that's too small, and measuring when aroused gives one that's far too big.
Step 2: Measure your ring size
- Wrap a piece of string or a strip of fabric around the base of your penis and behind your testicles, where the ring will sit.
- Pull it snug but not tight. You should be able to slide a finger underneath.
- Mark where the string meets, then lay it flat against a ruler. That's your circumference.
- Find your circumference in the table below.
| Your circumference | Bad Pup ring to use |
|---|---|
| Up to 13.6cm | 42mm (if you measure under 12.9cm, even this ring may be loose) |
| 13.7cm to 14.6cm | 45mm |
| 14.7cm to 15.4cm | 48mm |
| 15.5cm to 16.3cm | 52mm |
| Over 16.3cm | Our current rings will be too small, so please don't buy this cage |
Between two sizes? Choose the larger ring. A slightly loose ring is always safer than one that's too tight.
Step 3: Choose your cage length
While still soft, measure along the top of your penis from the base to the tip. Then compare with our three lengths:
| Size | Cage length | Cage diameter |
|---|---|---|
| Micro | 23mm | 40mm |
| Nub | 34mm | 46mm |
| Nano | 56mm | 46mm |
- The same length as you for comfortable, longer wear. Best for first-timers.
- Slightly shorter for more restriction, once you're used to wearing a cage.
Never choose a cage that's much longer than your soft length, or you'll be able to slip out.
Find your colour: Black, Blue, Orange or Dark Pink. Every Bad Pup cage is lightweight resin, which makes it a great first cage.
Step 4: Check the fit
Wear it for an hour or two the first time and check:
- Good signs: no pinching, normal skin colour, and the cage stays in place when you move.
- Too tight: swelling, numbness, tingling, cold skin, or skin turning dark or blue. Take it off straight away and move up a ring size.
- Too loose: you can pull out, or the cage slides forward. Try the next ring down, as long as it doesn't pinch.
Safety first
- For adults 18+ only. Use only with the informed consent of everyone involved.
- Build up wear time gradually, starting with an hour or two. Take the cage off at least once a day to clean it and check your skin.
- Always keep a key within reach, and keep the spare somewhere you can get to quickly.
- Don't sleep in a cage until you've worn it comfortably during the day for several days. Take it off if you wake up with pain or swelling.
- Check the resin for rough edges or cracks before each wear, and stop using a damaged cage.
- Clean daily with mild soap and warm water and dry thoroughly.
- Don't use a cage if you have diabetes, a circulation or bleeding disorder, or take blood-thinning medication, without first asking a doctor.
- If the cage won't come off and you have pain, swelling or colour changes, seek urgent medical help.
Frequently asked questions
What ring size do I need?
Measure around the base of your penis and testicles while relaxed and use the table above. A 14cm circumference, for example, means the 45mm ring.
Do Bad Pup cages come with more than one ring?
Yes. Each cage comes with four rings (42mm, 45mm, 48mm and 52mm), so you can swap until you find the right fit.
Which is shortest: Micro, Nub or Nano?
Micro is the shortest at 23mm, then Nub at 34mm, then Nano at 56mm.
Should I size up or down if I'm between sizes?
Size up on the ring. A ring that's slightly loose is safer than one that's too tight.
Can I wear a cage overnight?
Only once you've worn it comfortably during the day for several days. Take it off straight away if you notice swelling, numbness or colour changes.
